Quality Manager
The Quality Manager will participate in the management of the quality system to ensure customer satisfaction while improving process measurables. The quality manager will also work closely with all departments to ensure continuous improvement and conformity to customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining customer product quality requirements, maintaining the IATF16949/IS09001 requirements and directing internal quality initiatives.
- Manages and directs all quality department personnel.
- Works in conjunction with the sales department for customer liaison and supplier development activities.
- Monitors process controls and performance and evaluates recommendations for process and equipment adjustments or changes.
- Monitors product/material evaluations and procedural or process control measures to ensure that all products conform to customer specifications.
- Manages, organizes and verifies the quality system.
- Develops and implements inspection and sampling techniques and quality control plans.
- Conducts investigations on product defects and recommends modifications in product or quality standards as warranted.
- Interacts with and visits customers and suppliers when necessary to confer on quality issues.
- Maintains the corrective action system, both internal and external.
Qualifications
- Engineering or technical degree or ASQ certification preferred.
- 5-10 years of quality management experience.
- Extensive knowledge of Quality Systems, such as IATF 16949/ISO.
- Previous metal casting or machining experience is preferred.
