Lead and Elevate Quality in a Growing OEM Manufacturing Operation

This is not a maintenance Quality Manager role. This is an opportunity to build, lead, and elevate quality within a growing OEM manufacturing operation supporting a global customer base which expects rigorous lean SQDC principles from its suppliers.

My client, a growing, multi-site, industrial manufacturing organization, is seeking a Quality Manager to lead plant-level quality operations within a production facility supporting complex component manufacturing, machining, and assemblies. This is a highly visible role with direct impact on customer satisfaction, operational performance, and long-term business growth.

Position Summary

The Quality Manager will lead and manage all aspects of the plant’s quality function, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards, customer requirements, and internal quality systems. This role is responsible for elevating quality performance through process improvement, system development, and strong cross-functional collaboration.

You will lead and develop the site’s quality team while partnering closely with operations, production, and customers to drive plant-wide quality performance. This position requires a proactive leader who can operate with a high level of ownership, influence, and accountability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead plant-level quality operations and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards
  • Take ownership of the Quality Management System (QMS) and drive continuous improvement
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality requirements and expectations
  • Lead customer qualification processes including APQP, PPAP, and FAI activities
  • Manage non-conformance processes including NCR, CAR, and SCAR
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
  • Lead and develop the site’s quality team including quality engineering and inspection resources
  • Partner with operations and production teams to improve process capability and product quality
  • Develop and implement quality procedures, work instructions, and control plans
  • Oversee internal and external audits and maintain ISO certification status
  • Evaluate and manage supplier quality performance and qualification processes
  • Support new product introduction and ensure manufacturability and quality readiness

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in quality within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with OEM customers and customer quality requirements
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems and standards
  • Experience with APQP, PPAP, and FMEA processes
  • Previous experience managing and developing quality personnel
  • Hands-on experience in production environments including machining, fabrication, or assembly
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and corrective action
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence plant operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline preferred

Work Environment

Full-time, on-site role supporting a single-shift manufacturing operation, working closely with production on the plant floor.
