Salary: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directly oversee the operations of two on-site laboratories focusing on sampling, testing, inspection, and accurate reporting.
- Maintain stringent safety standards and promptly address any analytical or equipment challenges that arise.
- Enhance and manage the Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Foster strong collaborative relationships with production teams and customers to facilitate the achievement of quality benchmarks and effectively address quality-related issues.
- Lead, mentor, and expand the professional capabilities of the quality assurance team through dedicated training and development initiatives.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- At least 3-5 years of management experience in laboratory settings within the plastics manufacturing or related industries.
- A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Biology.
- Demonstrated expertise in ISO 9001 standards; internal auditor certification strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and common office software such as Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams and cross-departmental relationships.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Black Belt certification is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with PET-IV viscometers and gas chromatography analyzers.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a proven track record of managing and elevating team performance.
- Experience in process improvement initiatives that have successfully enhanced quality and operational efficiency.
