Position: Quality Manager - Philadelphia, PA

Job Description & Requirements:

  1. Ensure that the organization’s Quality Management System not covered by the Repair Station conforms to customer, internal, AS9100, and regulatory requirements.
  2. Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
  3. Develop, implement, communicate, and maintain the Company’s AS9100 Quality Systems and Policies in compliance with quality system requirements.
  4. Work closely with Chief Inspector to ensure FAA Repair Station requirements and AS9100 requirements blend into standard work for all employees.
  1. Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.
  2. Establishing clearly defined quality methods for staff to apply.
  3. Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operation staff.
  4. Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures.
  5. Liaising with customers’ auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers’ specifications.
  6. Preparing clear explanatory documents.
  7. Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing reports.
  8. Organize and manage quality assurance function in close co-operation with the customers and with the Company’s Management team (Member of Management Team).
  9. Identifying relevant quality-related training needs and delivering training.
  10. Collating and analyzing performance data and charts against defined parameters.
  11. Writing technical and management systems reports.
  12. Bringing together staff of different disciplines and driving the group to plan, formulate and agree comprehensive quality procedures.
  13. Manage and maintain the Company’s quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes, and finished goods.
  1. Formulate and manage the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems.
  1. Setting a compliance objective and ensuring that targets are achieved.
  2. Assessing the product specifications of the company and its suppliers, and comparing with customer requirements.
  1. Ensure evaluation of, and reporting on, vendor quality systems.
  2. Manage the monitoring, measurement, and review of internal processes, especially those that affect the quality of the organization’s products.
  3. Lead a team of Quality auditors.
  4. Report to top management on the performance of the QMS (e.g., results of quality audits, corrective actions), including the need for improvement.
  1. Conduct annual management review meetings.
  2. Oversee product recalls.
  3. Keep up on standards, regulations/laws, issues, and news with respect to product (service) quality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree in business or technical discipline or 3-5 five years of experience in quality control.

QA experience in aviation environment is preferred but not required.

Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, AS9100D.

Must possess good oral and written communication skills.

Strong ability to leverage business software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) to analyze data and develop effective quality systems.
