QUALITY INFORMATION SYSTEMS ANALYST

Position Description:
The Quality Information Systems Analyst will conduct ongoing data collection and analysis of health information obtained from a variety of sources, including advanced analytic software, data visualization software, etc., to drive clinical and operational performance improvement. The Quality Information Systems Analyst is a vital contributor to the organization, engaging daily with staff and health center teams across the state. Data and health informatic activities are focused heavily on improving clinical outcomes, operational efficiencies, and increasing the level of patient and staff experience within community health centers.
Responsibilities:
• Programs and executes queries within data visualization software to analyze/segregate data with the goal of empowering health care staff to translate data into clinical and operational improvement.
• Analyzes and interprets data; ensures data validity; performs calculations, prepares and updates tables, charts, graphs and technical summaries in an accurate and professional format for presentation according to the organization, member, and client requirements.
• Assists in data collection and aggregation of quality assurance/quality improvement data, as it relates to the health care clinical, operational and financial setting.
• Presents data to various stakeholders including, but not limited to the organization's health center leadership, state partners and payors.
• Functions as in house expert on population health software/tools.
• Utilizes other data sources and products to generate information and reports to support the organization's staff, members, and clients.
• Designs, develops, and documents basic data entry within tracking tools in support of organizational needs, project work plans, and priorities.
• Facilitates training for health center staff related to data analysis including dashboard/reporting creation and integration of data into the clinical and operational decision-making.
• Remains abreast of the latest advancements in AI use within healthcare and incorporating appropriate healthcare solutions.
• Assisting in training of healthcare professionals on how to use AI tools and interpret their outputs.
• Assisting with the evaluation of the effectiveness of AI interventions in improving patient care and health outcomes.
• Adheres to the organization's policies and procedures regarding HIPAA/Security compliance.
