Quality Engineer

Position Description

Leads and completes moderately complex quality engineering assignments and performs statistical analysis of data to provide information to meet quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

1. Leads problem-solving teams; identifies root causes, implements corrective actions and verifies effectiveness
2. Investigates customer complaints, develops corrective action plans and verifies effectiveness
3. Coordinates with Manufacturing Engineer to on-board new products
4. Coordinates with Manufacturing Engineer to identify shop tools
5. Verifies test plans
6. Responsible for external audits
7. Responsible for outside calibrations
8. Performs other duties as assigned

• Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with diverse groups of internal and external customers
• Ability to prepare and present technical information
• Thorough technical knowledge and background of quality and manufacturing processes including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), layout and gaging; machining methods and assembly and statistical techniques
• Well-developed analytical, problem-solving and management skills
• Well-developed time management, prioritization, organizational and planning skills
• Demonstrated ability to work with individuals or in a team environment, along with the flexibility to ensure team coverage of all quality-related activities
• Comprehension of ISO:9001 systems,
• Knowledge of continuous improvement and wiring diagrams
• Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Related field

Experience Requirements

• Three to Five years of related experience in engineering quality field
• Fundamental quality experience in machining or assembly type operations
• Enterprise wide reporting system experience preferred
• At least 3-5 years of manufacturing experience

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Domestic and/or international travel as required up to 10%
