Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Aerospace America’s for one of the world's leading providers of integrated logistics services offering freight management, customs brokerage, logistics and distribution services with revenues of over $5 billion.
The Quality-Continuous Improvement Manager will support the development of the continuous improvement culture for new business and existing operations by actively promoting and facilitating the use of continuous improvement methods. Will lead Lean initiatives for major aerospace customers and will travel occasionally to local branches to help communicate expectations to employees and provide coaching and corrective action when needed. The goal is to assure the high quality of our client’s operations and services with the aim of long-term success with their customers.

Background Required:
  • Excellent knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies(DMAIC, Lean, VSM, SMED, KAIZEN) (5+ years)
  • Developed quality assurance standards, metrics and protocols
  • Training related to quality activities & objectives (standards, regulations, tools, etc.)
  • Audit participation (internal & external)
  • Knowledge of tracking & recording systems for complaints or issues
  • Metrics measurements (i.e. service delivery, costs, quality audits)
  • Ability to travel 25%
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Residence: Greater Dallas TX, Miami FL, Los Angeles CA or Chicago IL
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Knowledge of freight forwarding or logistics
  • Industry relevant certifications (i.e. LEAN, Six Sigma)
  • International experience
  • Bi-Lingual: English & French
