Job Description

We’re partnering with a respected, family-owned custom food company that has built its reputation on quality, safety, and innovation to help them identify a talented Quality Assurance Supervisor to oversee 2nd shift.

If you are ready to take the lead in quality and food safety during one of the most critical production shifts, this could be for you! Join a well-established, family-owned meat processor known for quality, innovation, and integrity—and step into a pivotal leadership role that’s all about impact, autonomy, and growth.

This company is scaling fast, ramping up a full second shift, and needs a confident QA Supervisor to anchor the quality function when senior leaders have signed off for the day. If you’re energized by the idea of being the decision-maker, the go-to problem solver, and the guardian of food safety and quality—this is your time.

Why This Role Rocks:

  • Be the Face of Quality at Night: You'll lead QA for the second shift, ensuring product safety and compliance while empowering your team to uphold the company’s high standards.

  • Decision-Making Authority: No more waiting for morning approvals. You’ll have the autonomy to make smart, informed decisions that balance food safety, quality, and operations.

  • Flexible Hours, Real Impact: Start your day between 1:00–2:30 PM and own your shift. Stay later if needed or head home early when things run smoothly—it’s about outcomes, not clock-punching.

  • Career Growth in Sight: This company actively grooms emerging leaders. The QA Manager will report to a respected senior leader who believes in mentoring and career progression.

  • Collaborative Environment: Join a team where Operations, QA, and Sanitation work closely together—and where your input truly matters.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage all QA activities on 2nd shift, including process control, product evaluation, and compliance documentation

  • Act as the liaison between production and corporate QA—ensuring alignment and consistency

  • Lead, coach, and support the QA team to maintain high-performance standards

  • Troubleshoot issues in real time and work cross-functionally to find solutions without passing problems upstream

  • Partner with Sanitation and Operations to drive accountability and continuous improvement

What You Bring:

  • QA leadership experience in a USDA-regulated meat, poultry, or food processing environment

  • Strong working knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, USDA regulations, and quality systems

  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to lead independently

  • Desire to mentor others and foster a culture of quality and accountability

Bonus Points If You:

  • Are bilingual in Spanish

  • Have experience with audits, customer quality standards, or private label production

  • Thrive in a dynamic, high-volume production environment
