Job Description

We are working with a rapidly growing, 7th-generation Australian beef company expanding into the U.S. to identify a QA Manager to support food safety and quality at their plant. The successful candidate will be a hands-on quality leader with a strong foundation in food safety systems, ready to take ownership of day-to-day QA operations. The ideal candidate brings a strong floor presence, a technical mindset, and the ability to drive execution, compliance, and culture in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead day-to-day quality and food safety operations within a growing meat processing facility
  • Partner closely with the Director of QA and plant leadership to ensure compliance with USDA, FSMA, and internal quality standards
  • Maintain and execute HACCP plans, food safety programs, and environmental monitoring systems
  • Oversee sanitation programs, including managing third-party sanitation and validating effectiveness through testing and swabbing
  • Support and lead internal audits, third-party audits, and regulatory inspections
  • Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints, and quality issues, driving root cause and corrective actions
  • Train, coach, and develop QA staff while building strong cross-functional relationships with operations and sanitation teams
  • Support the plant’s expansion into the second shift, providing QA leadership and ensuring consistency across shifts
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to food safety, product quality, and plant performance
  • Remain highly visible on the production floor, working side by side with operations to solve problems in real time

Who You Are
  • A hands-on QA leader with strong experience in food manufacturing, ideally within meat or wet sanitation environments
  • Experienced in HACCP, FSMA, and food safety systems with a solid understanding of regulatory requirements
  • Background in environmental monitoring programs and sanitation validation
  • A proven leader who can coach, develop, and influence teams across multiple functions
  • Flexible and adaptable, comfortable supporting off-shifts or second shift as the plant grows
  • Strong problem solver who thrives in fast paced, evolving environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field preferred
