Quality Assurance Manager
Quality Assurance Manager – Central CT
This position is a Key Leadership role responsible for managing the activities of the Quality Assurance Department ensuring that goals and objectives are met in support of the Company’s AS9100 and ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System and Quality Policy overseeing all aspects of our Quality Management System (QMS).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage the daily operation of Incoming, In-process and final inspections.
• Supervises hourly employees in QA Department. Schedules their work and evaluates their performance.
• Generate Quality procedures as required.
• Enforces the Company’s quality procedures throughout the factory.
• Maintains documentation in support of Company’s third-party certifications (UL, CSA, QPL, ISO, etc.).
• Directs the company’s statistical process control program.
• Oversees the company’s ISO program. Acts as Management Representative.
• Conducts ISO classes for new hires, and updates as required.
• Control of non-conforming product.
• Customer liaison on quality issues.
• Vendor liaison for Approved Raw Material Supplier List.
• Calibration system for all Measurement & Test Equipment (M&TE).
• Investigate, with the help of other parties, customer complaints.
• Initiate and administer Corrective Action Requests. Collects and analyzes data. Reports trends to management.
• Retention of Quality Management System records.
REQUIREMENTS:
• BS in Engineering/ Quality Assurance/Sciences (preferred) or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of ISO and AS9100 standards, PPAP, PFMEA, and calibration programs
• 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years in quality management within a high-volume, process-oriented manufacturing environment
• 3+ years of direct staff management and coaching experience
• Specific knowledge of ISO standard and its application in industry.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional problem-solving teams and drive continual improvement initiatives
