Quality Assurance Inspector

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual and CMM inspections and verification activities, utilizing various hand tools and techniques to ensure product compliance.
  • Execute random inspections and coordinate quality buyoff activities, ensuring staff adherence to specific testing and inspection requirements.
  • Maintain and calibrate measurement and test equipment, assuring consistent operational functionality and accuracy.
  • Support the development and implementation of the quality management system to comply with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Engage in internal audits and assist in optimizing quality assurance procedures and documentation.
  • Coordinate and support corrective action procedures, ensuring timely response to customer and supplier issues.
  • Develop comprehensive quality plans, document control systems, and report setups to enhance procedural fidelity and traceability.
  • Ensure regular maintenance of workspaces and adherence to company safety protocols.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in a quality control or assurance role within a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in the use of manufacturing measurement and test equipment.
  • Extensive knowledge of quality control methods, inspection techniques, and documentation practices.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 standards and direct experience in quality system management and internal audits.
  • Capability to read and interpret blueprints and understand geometric tolerances.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in leading quality assurance projects or teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in statistical process control and related analytical techniques.
  • Formal training or certification related to quality assurance or process improvement (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
