The QA Coordinator will lead projects relating to quality advancement, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement. The QA Coordinator will also assist with other metallurgical and operations projects as needed.

Raw/Finished Product Quality and Raw/Finished Coil Dispositions

Evaluate and resolve supplier performance

Process/resolve quality claims

Quality Performance

Single Invoice Outside Processing Quality

Continuous Process Improvement

Pot Metal Assay Review, Usage and Inventory

Quality Committee / ISO 9000 Compliance

Q-Pulse Documents

QA Crystal Reports Development and Running in conjunction with Minitab capability Analysis

Communicate with Operations, Metallurgists and other Flat Roll Divisions.

Work jointly with IT in development of automated systems.

Assist Metallurgy with the following:

  • Product Development - Steel Grades / Surface Treatments
  • Process & Product Capability Analysis / Reporting
  • Production Bonus Calculation
  • Metallurgy lab functions and operation
  • Cost Reduction
