QUALITY & COMPLIANCE MANAGER
TALLASSEE, AL

Position Summary
:
The Quality & Compliance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure full compliance with aerospace, customer, and regulatory requirements. This role provides leadership across quality assurance, regulatory compliance, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring products meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the QMS in accordance with AS9100, AS9120 and Nadcap standards
  • Ensure effective document control, record retention, and configuration management
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies

Regulatory & Customer Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace regulations and standards (e.g., FAA, customer-specific requirements)
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies, customers, and certification authorities for the site
  • Interpret regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation across the organization

Audits & Certifications

  • Plan and lead internal audits and support group quality management reviews
  • Coordinate and manage external audits for the site (certification, customer, regulatory)
  • Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes and verify effectiveness

Quality Assurance & Control

  • Oversee inspection, testing, and nonconformance management processes
  • Analyse quality data, KPIs, and trends to reduce defects and improve process capability
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for internal and customer issues

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the quality team
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Program Management to embed quality throughout the product lifecycle
  • Promote a strong quality and compliance culture across the organization

Key Skills and Requirements

  1. Proven experience of working as a Quality Manager at senior level in a multi-site manufacturing business.
  2. Demonstrable evidence of the ability to work under own initiative to achieve functional and departmental tasks whilst also liaising effectively with other management colleagues.
  3. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  4. Good analytical, numerical, problem solving, planning, documentation and record keeping skills.
  5. Excellent time management with proven ability to consistently meet deadlines by planning workload accordingly.
  6. Proven oral, written, and presentational communication skills, evidencing an ability to influence stake holders and communicate confidently with external customers and senior managers.
  7. Educated to degree level in a business, management or other related discipline or career qualified and able to evidence demonstrable experience.
  8. Competent and confident user of MS Windows and Office packages with an emphasis on Excel spreadsheet proficiency.
  9. Ability to manage the ambiguity associated with rapid business growth and organizational change in a fluid manufacturing business environment.
  10. Able to obtain security clearance in accordance with customer requirements.
  11. A full, clean current driving license is essential.
