We are looking for a QA Manager / QA Lead to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.
Our client is seeking a QA Manager / QA Lead to oversee quality assurance strategy, execution, and team leadership in a remote role. While this position is remote, candidates must be located within Ohio. This role is ideal for a seasoned QA professional with a strong background in both manual and automated testing who can lead teams while remaining hands‑on.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage QA activities across manual and automated testing efforts
- Provide hands‑on QA leadership while setting overall testing strategy and standards
- Oversee test planning, test execution, defect management, and release readiness
- Manage and mentor QA team members, including performance and skill development
- Ensure quality processes align with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies
- Drive automation strategy, framework adoption, and test coverage improvements
- Collaborate closely with development, product, and business teams
- Track and report quality metrics, risks, and execution status
- Identify opportunities to improve QA processes, tools, and efficiency
- Ensure high‑quality delivery across applications and releases
Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands‑on experience in Quality Assurance
- Experience leading both manual and automated QA efforts
- Prior experience as a QA Manager, QA Lead, or similar leadership role
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices
- Hands‑on experience with test automation frameworks and tools
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid environments
- Strong communication and leadership skills
