Job Description

We are looking for a QA Manager / QA Lead to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

Our client is seeking a QA Manager / QA Lead to oversee quality assurance strategy, execution, and team leadership in a remote role. While this position is remote, candidates must be located within Ohio. This role is ideal for a seasoned QA professional with a strong background in both manual and automated testing who can lead teams while remaining hands‑on.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage QA activities across manual and automated testing efforts
  • Provide hands‑on QA leadership while setting overall testing strategy and standards
  • Oversee test planning, test execution, defect management, and release readiness
  • Manage and mentor QA team members, including performance and skill development
  • Ensure quality processes align with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies
  • Drive automation strategy, framework adoption, and test coverage improvements
  • Collaborate closely with development, product, and business teams
  • Track and report quality metrics, risks, and execution status
  • Identify opportunities to improve QA processes, tools, and efficiency
  • Ensure high‑quality delivery across applications and releases

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands‑on experience in Quality Assurance
  • Experience leading both manual and automated QA efforts
  • Prior experience as a QA Manager, QA Lead, or similar leadership role
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Hands‑on experience with test automation frameworks and tools
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid environments
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
