Business Case:

Currently we have a need to identify a more senior Parent Seed and Production Research collaborator to lead both programs in North America.

As there will be more complexity, volume and fast pipeline introduction, we need someone with the understanding of the global impact of decisions made on crops that will work closely with R&D and be prepared to support the business growth with efficiency and maximized quality.

Sunflower will have a significant number of products coming from the sunflower trait introgression program that will give Nuseed the competitive advantage and fast growth in the market place.

As sunflower sales volumes in Europe are expected to grow over 20% yoy, it requires higher production plans (plan is to cover coming 3 years) to have flexibility on selling the portfolio as well as reacting to market opportunities.

The pre-positioning strategy of parent seed in the production regions will enable the quality to remain within expected specification for longer lead time, minimizing obsolescence prior to being used. The regions currently have conditioned warehouse which will enable quality control management.

The other big opportunity is the Omega 3 program that will have a number of products that will require coordination of quality of seeds and oil together with the volume required to be produced by our farmer customers and be crushed to fulfil the needs of Chile market and others in the near future.
