Our client, a fun, inspiring interactive agency located in the King and Spadina area in a beautiful loft with lots of sun has engaged ROSS (www.getROSS.com) to help them recruit a QA Analyst / Tester. ROSS is a team of People Specialists helping companies align their People Strategy with their business growth. We provide remote or site HR and Recruitment solutions complimented by leading edge open-source HRIS software.

 

They’re looking for an intermediate QA contractor for 1-2 months. There's a possibility for this role to become a permanent role. If you’re a senior QA, this contract probably won’t pay you enough!

You will be working on quality assurance of our client’s Web projects.

Requirements:
• 2+ years of QA testing experience in a transactional web-based environment.
• University/College degree in computer technology or equivalent experience;
• Ability to define and execute a variety of different types of tests (Unit, Functional, Regression, Interoperability, Integration, System, Configuration, Smoke, UI/Page, Performance, Security etc.)
• Ability to work as part of a team and a good work ethic
• Ability to write QA documents (test plans, procedures, test reports)
• Strong communication skills are required (oral and written).

Assets:

• Advanced knowledge of JIRA, Rational, Ruby on Rails and TestTrack is considered an asset.

Responsibilities:
• Executing plans, scripts and test scenarios in order to validate the practicality, performance, quality and reliability of Web Projects;
• Ensure test plans that meet design specifications, report on testing cycle and help produce applications that is reasonably free from defects
• Develop automation scripts or documentation (as needed).
• Carrying out the standard tests during the development cycle and after the close of project;
