We have a great client located in the greater Greensboro, NC region that is looking for a a Certified Purchasing Manager who has experience working in plastics and/or medical device. This position can offer relocation assistance along with a competitive compensation package. The candidate will be responsible for the following;

• Supervise Category Managers and any other purchasing personnel assigned.
• May have direct category responsibility for specific categories.
• Responsible for management, direction, and implementation of a centralized sourcing strategy through the appropriate Category Manager(s).
• Responsible for training and implementation of IQ business system tools to manage global oversight of purchases.
• Responsible for overall supplier reviews and approved supplier authorization in IQ business system.
• Maintain purchased items and services lists with contract terms.
• Identify sourcing synergies and cost savings opportunities.
• Negotiate corporate purchase agreements including pricing, payment terms, incentives, etc.
• Educates the company on purchased goods and capital savings and opportunities.
• Supports sales efforts through timely quotes and supplier option analyses.
• Encourages the effective leveraging of supply base by coordinating supplier support opportunities.
• Participate in supplier evaluation and certification.
• Supervises buyers and approves purchases as assigned.
