Public Tax Accountant
Job Description
We are working with a strong CPA firm in Peachtree City, GA that is looking to add a solid Tax Staff Accountant to their team. The position details are as follows:
Four-year degree in Accounting or Business
CPA or CPA candidate is a plus
Must have a minimum of two tax busy seasons
Prepare Federal and State Individual, Corporate, S-Corporation and Fiduciary Income Tax
Prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax returns and forms.
Prepare sales tax returns.
Ensure clients sales and payroll tax liabilities are calculated correctly and paid timely.
Research tax notices and communicates with agencies on behalf of the client.
Prepare monthly data processing and financial statements for assigned clients.
Prepare journal entries and post transactions to general ledger.
Reconcile general ledger and prepare adjusting entries.
Prepare year-end account reconciliations, work papers, and closing entries.
Proficiency with Ultratax and QuickBooks is desired.
