Public Safety Advisor - BDM
Full-Time Regular
Position Overview:
Responsible for identifying, prospecting, communicating with, and selling to Public Safety Agencies with more than 100 Sworn Officers for average sales of $50K/year per client in recurring annual SaaS revenue. Activities include Discovery: research of customer needs and pain points, funding, interest in our client's Real Time Crime Center in the Cloud (RTC3) technology, and identification of decision makers; Introductions: presenting to and generating interest with Agencies, including direct calling/emailing, and use of industry relationships to secure an introduction; Demonstration of Capability: field and web-based demonstrations and managing tier 1 and 2 technical inquiries; and, Obtaining Commitment: meeting with key decision makers at all echelons with the customer (i.e. Command Staff, Procurement, Engineering/IT, City Politicians/Managers), to ensure commitment to the Company's solution is achieved. The Business Manager maintains overall accountability for the sale to their target accounts.

Must be a sales challenger – willing to challenge the status quo adoption of fusion technologies that are traditionally on-prem focused, expensive, onerous to install and project manage, and provide AI capabilities that are overpromised and underdelivered.

Must be a relationship-oriented person – charismatic, articulate, honest. Must be able to create, foster, and sustain long term relationships with co-workers and customers.

Must be articulate – capable of communicating value propositions in a clear and succinct manner so as to establish a rapport with customers as a subject matter expert on issues related to the technology.

Must have an ability to grasp and explain technical subjects. Must be able to take complex client technical concerns and break them down into simple components, in order to drive solution-based sales. Video industry experience not required, but the desire to learn is a must.

Must be a creative problem solver. The role requires the ability to overcome obstacles endemic to enterprise sales – funding, timing, adoption of technology, etc. by tailoring the message to the audience, and by leveraging internal Company resources for progress.

Must be able to manage the sales process with the customer to ensure all four stages of the sale are completed satisfactorily.

Must be capable of supporting large project RFPs and Grant writing through direct communication and deliberation with the customers, to include tailoring the specification towards our client's products.

Must be able to able to travel up to 50%. Web conference is preferred, but travel may be required by our clients.

Must be a team player, and know how to work in a fast-paced business environment where daily obligations may change dramatically day to day. Our client's team members are mission-oriented, however we value family time and encourage our employees to take time off.

Must be an energetic, positive, and persuasive orator.
Qualifications:

Law Enforcement experience in an administrative role (Lieutenant or above)

FBI NA Graduate a major plus

Experienced in leading technology implementations within their Agency

Strong, professional verbal/written communication and technical skills required
