Job Description: Project Manager/Estimator

Location: Multiple locations throughout Florida
Position Type: Full-Time

Job Overview:
The Project Manager/Estimator will be responsible for managing construction projects from inception through completion while also estimating the costs and resources required for project execution. This role combines both project management and estimating duties, requiring excellent organizational skills, a keen attention to detail, and strong communication abilities. The successful candidate will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while providing accurate cost estimates for bidding and resource planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Plan, execute, and oversee construction projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Develop, manage, and update project schedules, budgets, and scopes of work.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, and construction personnel, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Identify and address project risks and issues in a timely manner to avoid delays and cost overruns.
  • Conduct regular project meetings to provide updates and ensure alignment among team members and stakeholders.

Estimating:

  • Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on architectural drawings, specifications, and site conditions.
  • Analyze project requirements and ensure bidding is accurate and in compliance with client specifications.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing, lead times, and resource availability.
  • Maintain and update a database of historical cost data and benchmarks to improve future estimating processes.

Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring excellent communication and satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal team members.
  • Prepare and present project proposals, estimates, and status reports to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment on project goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in project management and cost estimating.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, methods, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and estimating tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Excel).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
