Our client, a well-respected construction firm specializing in self-perform concrete and general contracting services, is seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager / Estimator. This role oversees estimating, budgeting, and execution for concrete projects, ensuring accuracy, safety, and profitability while fostering strong relationships with clients and trade partners.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promote and uphold a strong culture of safety and compliance across all projects.

  • Accurately estimate concrete scopes, labor, materials, and equipment needs to develop competitive and profitable budgets.

  • Review drawings and specifications, identify risks, and seek clarification where needed.

  • Coordinate RFIs, pricing updates, and project documentation with partners and clients.

  • Manage schedules and budgets to ensure projects meet deadlines and financial goals.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.

  • Solicit and evaluate bids, ensuring comprehensive trade and scope coverage.

  • Conduct site visits to review constructability and identify cost and resource efficiencies.

  • Participate in bid-day coordination, buyout, and repricing activities.

  • Maintain an organized bid board and stay proficient in software including Bluebeam, Trimble, and Microsoft 365.

  • Represent the company professionally at industry and partner events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, vocational training, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience estimating concrete trade work; field experience preferred.

  • Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency with estimating and construction management software.

  • Knowledge of commercial construction materials, means, and methods.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurance requirements.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform site visits requiring physical activity.

  • Flexible schedule with occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
