REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 5 yrs. exp in construction cost estimating; working knowledge mechanical, plumbing, electrical.
- Bachelor's in Engineering or other related field
- MUST BE A TEAM PLAYER with proven leadership
- Computer skills with experience with estimating software
- Some travel on occasion
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create accurate and entire construction budgets and estimates for projects commercial and industrial facility reno to site work to new construction. interpret plans and specifications
- Create conceptual cost plans from minimal design information utilizing an analytical process and construction cost estimates over various phases of a project
- Account and document changes in estimate values made of the project
- Prepare written basis of estimate report including estimates and accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing, as well as, conceptual estimates as well as detailed estimates, manage deadlines, offer value engineering / cost saving suggestions, when appropriate
- Review and understand bid documents and assess project risks, as well as, project implementation logistics and project schedule
