About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a privately held packaging manufacturer at an exciting stage of growth and transformation. With three manufacturing sites and a leadership team focused on building for the future, the company is investing in stronger structure, better processes, and long-term operational success.

This is a newly created role designed to help build and standardize project management across the business. The work will span new product development, facility enhancements, equipment installations, and continuous improvement efforts. It’s a strong fit for someone who enjoys creating order, driving accountability, and leading cross-functional work in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

• Define project scope, goals, timelines, deliverables, and success measures.

• Build and manage detailed project plans, including resources and budgets.

• Track progress through dashboards, action registers, meetings, and KPIs.

• Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, department leaders, and stakeholders.

• Oversee equipment installations, upgrades, and relocations.

• Support product and equipment qualification through standardized processes.

• Partner with operations on production ramp-up activities.

• Help establish a Stage Gate process for New Product Development.

• Create and standardize a project management process across project types.

Preferred Experience & Attributes

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar technical discipline.

• 5–7 years of direct project management experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong skills in project planning, MS Project, and MS Office.

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

• Self-motivated, ambitious, and able to work with limited direction.

• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment.

• Power BI and statistical analysis experience are a plus.

• Injection molding, paper converting, or printing experience is beneficial.

• PMP certification is a plus, but not required.

Reporting Structure

• Sits within the engineering organization.

• Works closely with engineers, department leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Partners frequently with operations and other internal teams.
