Project Manager
Role Summary
The DSS Project Manager will lead cross‑functional efforts to deliver real‑time digital inventory positions and a unified source of truth for product availability across digital channels. This includes roadmap ownership, upstream/downstream integrations (e.g., OMS/Yantra, Finance, STME, POS, Source‑of‑Supply), vendor coordination, and ensuring alignment with customer promise accuracy, fulfillment efficiency, and enterprise data‑governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Program OversighOwn the DSS roadmap across phases, with clear delivery timelines, dependency tracking, and measurable business impact (e.g., ATP accuracy, promise reliability, return‑rate reduction). Ensure environments, data pipelines, and platform services are sequenced to support Phased deliverables and subsequent phases.
- Sponsor & Stakeholder Alignment and Communications coordinate recurring alignment sessions with product leadership, engineering leads, data & analytics, OMS/Order Management, POS, supply chain/fulfillment operations, digital operations, legal/privacy, and finance. Confirm scope, milestones, and presentation responsibilities; maintain concise executive summaries and updates for senior leadership.
- Vendor Management & On‑Boarding
Partner with Procurementand Legalto evaluate, onboard, and manage platform/data partners (e.g., streaming and observability providers). Align statements of work, SLAs, and KPIs; drive integration clarity and acceptance criteria. - Project Planning & Artifacts
Maintain DSS planning artifacts—Miroboards, RACI, RAID, Gantt, dependency maps—that visualize timelines, business impact, and technical interfaces (OMS/Yantra, Hybris, POS, Source‑of‑Supply, Uniti). Keep boards current and leverage them in workshops and demos. - Measurement & Reporting
Define and track DSS‑specific success metrics: BOH/OSA accuracy, ATP precision, delivery‑promise hit rate, fulfillment cost per order, and return‑rate reduction. Establish reporting cadences for sponsors and ensure measurement approaches are documented alongside data lineage. - Risk & Issue Management
Proactively identify and escalate technical roadblocks—e.g., data‑update spikesduring shipments/reconciliations, inventory reservation mismatches across OMS/Yantra and Hybris, downstream API/contract mismatches—capturing mitigations in RAID logs. - Cross‑Functional Coordination
Facilitate collaboration across Digital Shopping squads, OMS, POS, Supply Chain/STME, PIM, and Analyticsto ensure seamless execution and compliance (privacy/data governance). Drive alignment on refund self‑service (DSS)and related business dependencies.
Strategic Focus Areas for the DSS Project Manager
- Unified Inventory Accuracy & Source of Truth
Consolidate enterprise BOH/OSA data into Unit Inventory to increase accuracy and forecasting; establish DSS as the authoritative digital inventory position. - Fulfillment Promise & Cost Optimization Enable dynamic sourcing across ship‑from‑store, same‑day local delivery, and marketplace sellers; balance customer‑promise reliability with cost controls and margin goals.
- Streaming Data & Observability Build resilient, high‑throughput pipelines (e.g., Kafka) with observability to handle update frequency and spike events; partner with streaming/observability vendors to ensure SLA compliance and transparent dashboards.
- OMS/Yantra & Hybris Integration Readiness Leverage existing Yantra/OMS instances for lower‑environment build‑out (INT/CERT) and align with Hybris services/stock models to ensure consistent reservation and availability behavior across channels.
- Data Governance & Privacy Coordinate with enterprise data teams (e.g., EDaAor equivalent) to enforce data standards, lineage, and access controls; document retention, reconciliation, and obfuscation practices for external sharing.
- Team Enablement & Communication Clarify responsibilities across product, engineering, analytics, and operations; create learning opportunities (architecture reviews, vendor demos) and reinforce the DSS business value in roadmap communications.
Minimum Qualifications (Requirements)
- 7–10 years of program/project management with large, data‑intensive platform integrations in retail/e‑commerce.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating across OMS/Yantra, Hybris, POS, and digital services; strong familiarity with inventory reservation/ATP concepts and customer‑promise metrics.
- Hands‑on delivery using Agile/SAFe practices; proficiency with Miro, RAID/RACI, and Gantt planning; workshop facilitation with cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Data streaming/observability familiarity (e.g., Kafka/Confluent) and the ability to navigate spiky data‑refresh scenarios and performance constraints.
- Excellent stakeholder management, written communication, and executive‑level reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in source‑of‑supply logic, marketplace integrations, and last‑mile delivery orchestration.
- Experience working with enterprise data governance groups, privacy/compliance partners, and Procurement/Legal.
- Familiarity with GraphQL service ecosystems, Event Based Modeling and Executions, and Commerce processes, including stock‑row modeling
