Job Summary

Magellan Aerospace, Wrexham has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager.

To project manage packages of work and provide a focal point for Customer liaison for all aspects of the introduction, design, manufacture, modification, engineering, quality, purchase, costs, supply and delivery of new products and existing products.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Project manage all aspects of the introduction, design, manufacture, modification, engineering, quality, purchase, costs, supply and delivery of new products.
• Responsible for the delivery of steady state products according to customer specification and delivery requirements.
• Co-ordinate special projects as required by the business.
• Provide reactive support to business critical situations and processes.
Ensuring adherence to Magellan UK departmental policies and corporate procedures
Interpret and comply with company HS&E Policies and safety regulations
Identify potential hazards and take appropriate action to eliminate
To comply with driving regulations as required by the company Health and safety Policy
Ensure self and there people are working in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
• Provide analysis of profitability of new and existing projects and processes involving the set up and execution of improvement programmes to achieve targets
• Analyse a range of operational reports consisting of delivery performance, cell throughput, days at work centre etc.
• Ensure the delivery of production and projects to customer requirements using a high degree management of available resources
• Manage the Customer Account Managers to ensure all the requirements are in place to deliver parts to the customer order book.
Responsible for forecasting, sales achievement and associated costs.
• Evaluate current and future needs of the business and actively lead and participate in Continuous Improvement activities
• Ensure the company contract review process is reviewed and adhered to at all times
Identify non-conformance as it may adversely affect the airworthiness and inform the supervisor.
To ensure the work area complies to the company wide 6S standards.

Position Requirements

• A Relevant Commercial / Technical Degree.
• Achieved a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, with preferably a qualification in project management.
Or 10 or more years of experience in a relevant commercial or technical environment along with a HND qualification will be required.
• IT Skills to include Microsoft Office Products to include (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and Outlook) and EFACS, MPS/MRP.
