Title: Project Manager – Construction
Location: Thorold, ON
Type: Full-Time
Reports to: Director
Compensation: $80,000 to $120,000 per year (salary) commensurate with experience and qualifications, benefits plan (after 3 months), 3 weeks PTO + 11 stat days, $100 cell phone reimbursement

Overview:
Our client, a leader in the construction and development of high-quality residential and commercial projects, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team. Reporting to the Director, and working closely with the Director of Construction and Site Superintendent, the Project Manager will play a key role in supporting field operations and ensuring successful project execution from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage construction project budgets and schedules, providing monthly updates

  • Prepare and oversee cashflow projections and reporting

  • Review construction drawings and manage RFIs, SIs, and drawing revisions

  • Prepare and issue RFQs and change orders

  • Lead subcontractor pull planning sessions and track progress

  • Understand and manage critical path scheduling and project timelines

  • Develop scopes of work and manage subcontractor tendering and procurement

  • Review and coordinate shop drawings and project submittals

  • Oversee document control and project filing

  • Attend weekly subcontractor meetings and track progress and productivity

  • Maintain alignment between master schedule and superintendent look-aheads

  • Review subcontractor invoicing and schedule of values

  • Collaborate with accounting to prepare and manage project draws

  • Support subcontract management, including payments, disputes, and evaluations

  • Proactively identify and resolve project issues

  • Manage project closeout and prepare final documentation

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors

  • Support on-site safety and environmental compliance

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and delegation to project team members

What You Bring:

  • Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field

  • 3–5 years of experience managing residential and commercial construction projects

  • Strong knowledge of Part 3 construction processes

  • Skilled in interpreting architectural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and interior drawings

  • Proficiency in MS Project, Bluebeam/Adobe, and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities

  • Experience managing multiple deadlines and priorities

  • Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations

  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation

Work Environment:

  • Primarily office-based with periodic site visits

  • Occasional extended hours may be required to meet project timelines

  • Exposure to active construction sites and various weather conditions
