Position Title: Project Manager – Mission Critical / Data Center Projects

The Boss:
The role reports directly to a hands‑on Construction Manager who has risen through the field and brings extensive real‑world experience to leadership. This leader values accountability, results, and clear communication while giving Project Managers the freedom to run their projects independently. The management style emphasizes trust, minimal micromanagement, and adaptability, with a strong focus on building satisfied, high‑performing teams across multiple regions.
The Position:
The Project Manager will manage multiple mission‑critical construction projects, primarily within data center and similar high‑expectation environments. The role operates on a rotational travel model, typically spending approximately two weeks per month onsite and the remainder working remotely. Project Managers partner closely with another PM, field technicians, subcontractors, and leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within scope. When projects are not active onsite, the role remains fully remote.
Essential Functions (Other duties may be assigned):
- Manage mission‑critical construction projects from kickoff through closeout
- Coordinate execution across traveling field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Oversee schedules, budgets, change orders, RFIs, and project documentation
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and project partners
- Support onsite activities during scheduled travel rotations
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, contractual obligations, and company processes
- Forecast project risks, staffing needs, and resource requirements in collaboration with leadership
- Adapt project execution strategies as work expands into new regions and markets
Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing construction or technical projects independently
- Experience working in high‑expectation environments such as data centers, healthcare, high‑rise, or other mission‑critical facilities
- Ability to manage projects without serving as the technical backstop
- Willingness and ability to travel nationwide approximately two weeks per month
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Comfortable managing distributed teams in a remote work environment
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel by air and ground as required
Education and Experience:
- Project management experience in construction, controls, electrical, mechanical, or MEP‑related projects
- Prior experience with mission‑critical or data center infrastructure is preferred but not required
- Junior Project Managers with strong fundamentals and growth potential are encouraged to apply
