Project Manager
Our client is looking for a unique Project Manager to join their team in Kansas City. They are a top construction firm in the multifamily and commercial sectors, with projects being built all across the United States. This project manager position will require travel typically 1-2 days per week to inspect the property for projects before they begin and make sure everything starts on the right track (all travel expenses covered). Ideal candidates will also have a strong background in business development and will be able to help build new client relationships in their markets. - Business Development
- Utilizing contacts to gain access to new projects.
- Project Management
- Oversee the several construction projects from start to finish.
- Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed.
- Manage all project management processes for RFI’s, submittals, etc.
- Budgeting tracking
- Communicate effectively with the project team
- Periodic inspection of construction sites.
- Scheduling
- Create and manage the projects schedule with the superintendent
- Ensure that construction activities move according to pre-determined schedule.
- Coordinate subcontractor scheduling meetings on site as needed
- Estimating
- Estimating during all phases of pre-construction (schematic design, design development, construction documents)
- Bringing about optimum utilization of resources- labor, materials and equipment, and ensuring their procurement at most cost-effective terms.

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction projects (preferably multi-family and commercial construction).
- A four-year Bachelor’s degree in construction management is preferred/not required.
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA safety standards is essential.
- Computer Skills: MS Office, MS Project, Bluebeam preferred.

All travel expenses are covered and there is an excellent bonus structure up to 20% of the salary.
