Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the COO of a transportation organization that specializes in the movement of oversized, complicated and project related cargo. Our client’s business involves planning, complex challenges and difficult decisions on a daily basis. They offer their clients both standard and tailored solutions via a hands-on management team and highly experienced project personnel who possess in-depth understanding of complex logistics. They are committed to the successful transport of freight from origin to destination and ensure that all parties are updated with online access to an overview of their shipments in a state of the art IT platform.
The Project Manager will manage projects from inception through delivery ensuring completion of project objectives on schedule and within budget constraints. Will develop detailed project plans in conjunction with customer (goals, objectives, strategy, scope, budget, scheduling, risk mitigation strategies, contingency plans, approach, requirements, deliverables, timelines and training needs) utilizing project management disciplines and methodologies including process analysis, mapping, and flow charting to ensure synchronization of processes and systems. Will manage customer expectations throughout the project ensuring to meet service expectations.

Background Required:
  • Project freight forwarding, transportation or logistics (5+ years)
  • Knowledge of renewable energy, construction & mining, or industrial machinery industry(s)
  • Experienced in direct interface with clients, vendors, sub-contractors for managing assigned projects
  • Experienced in contract management and administration, estimates and proposals
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Ability to travel if required
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook
  • Residence: Remote, USA
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Project Management certification(PMP, CAPM, CPMP or other)
  • Knowledge of specialized transport
  • Bachelor’s Degree
