Warrenton VA

Job Description

A well-established general contractor specializing in secure facility construction — SCIF builds, ICD 705-compliant interior renovations, and tenant fit-outs for government and defense-adjacent clients — is looking for an experienced Project Manager to run a portfolio of small- to mid-sized projects across the DC/Northern Virginia market.

The company is employee-owned (ESOP) and backed by a much larger national contracting platform, giving it the stability and resources of a major player while keeping the day-to-day feel of a tight, founder-rooted team.

What You'd Be Doing

  • Managing all phases of construction — planning through close-out — on secure interior renovation and fit-out projects, ensuring compliance with ICD 705 standards and government client requirements
  • Coordinating labor, materials, and subcontractors across multiple simultaneous small-to-mid-sized projects
  • Overseeing on-site activity, security protocols, and safety compliance
  • Serving as the primary point of contact between internal teams, subcontractors, government clients, inspectors, and local jurisdictions
  • Managing project documentation, submittals, and secure space construction checklists
  • Negotiating with subcontractors/suppliers to keep projects on budget
  • Owning schedule and cost outcomes — on time, on budget, to standard

What They're Looking For

  • Proven construction project management experience, ideally in secure or government facility environments
  • Working knowledge of SCIF construction strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with Procore, MS Project, or similar
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • US Citizenship required
