As a Project Manager, you’ll manage a diverse set of construction jobs

that will require thorough attention to detail,

will test your problem-solving skills and push you to grow as a leader.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Perform at all project management levels; No task is too big or too small.

  2. Accurately forecast revenue, profitability and project costs.

  3. Manage day-to-day client expectations on budget and schedule.

  4. Estimate, level (Subcontractor bids) and buy out projects effectively.

  5. Work with the project superintendent to create, manage, and maintain the project schedule.

  6. Manage the multiple processes (submittals, RFI’s, Change Orders, etc.) that make up a project.

  7. Provide direction to a PC or PE to assist with the above.

  8. Oversee performance of all trade contractors and review architectural and engineering drawings to ensure all specifications and regulations are being followed.

  9. Proactively identify changes in project scope and ensure appropriate measures are taken (CO’s and/or Schedule delays).

  10. Manage financial performance of projects (Invoicing, Change Orders, etc.) and consistently achieve revenue goals.

  11. Work with executives to constantly hone interview and negotiation skills.

  12. Run effective, smooth and productive OAC meetings.

  13. Plan, implement, track and manage the closeout/turnover of construction projects.

  14. Assess risk, monitor site safety and ensure proper communication between Superintendent and Safety Manager.

  15. Turn your clients into raving fans and advocates of the organization

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years in construction

  • 4-year degree

  • Industry association involvement & participation

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • The ability and desire to lead a team by example

  • The confidence and grit to make decisions under pressure and solve problems on the fly

  • The social intelligence to gracefully manage and resolve disputes

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Proficiency at basic computer software

  • Hospital or lab project experience a plus
