Peterson Consulting Group is partnering with a highly respected Heavy Civil Contractor in the Greater Phoenix area that specializes in roadway and public works construction. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee complex infrastructure projects from preconstruction through closeout. Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in heavy civil construction, with a strong background in roadway and public works projects.
  • Proven ability to manage projects ranging from $10M–$50M+ in value.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated success managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of mentoring project teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficient in scheduling, cost control, and construction management software.
  • Must live in or be willing to relocate to the Phoenix, AZ area prior to start.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of heavy civil projects from planning and preconstruction through project closeout.
  • Manage cost, schedule, and quality control to ensure project goals are met or exceeded.
  • Oversee project engineers, superintendents, and subcontractors to maintain smooth field operations.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, agencies, and project partners.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and design changes, providing proactive solutions to potential challenges.
  • Ensure safety and compliance standards are upheld at all times.
  • Track and report project progress, financials, and forecasting.
  • Support company growth by mentoring junior staff and promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
