Our client, located in the Raleigh/Durham area of North Carolina, is seeking a Civil Construction Estimator/Project Manager

Essential Job Functions

• Attend pre-bid meetings and perform site work evaluations
• Identify labor, material and time requirements required to perform work
• Quantify takeoffs and complete estimate preparation for water, sewer and storm drain installation a plus
• Subcontractor, supplier and client interactions
• Site and road work experience
• Knows how to estimate a job based on crew size and equipment needs, and knows productions.
• Ability to perform as project manager on grading and utility installation services
• Preparation of Request for Quotations and analysis of subcontract and material proposals
• Experience working with local and state governments a plus
• Experience working with grading and utility installation services
  

Training and Experience

• Degree in Construction Engineering Management, Civil Engineering or other related engineering degree a plus
• Minimum 4 years heavy civil construction experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
• Valid driver’s license
• Team player, able to get along with a diverse group of people working towards a common goal
