Job Description
The purpose of this Project Manager Construction position is to monitor the scheduling component of a complex, phased laboratory renovation project within a client site. Prepare change order cost estimates and review contractor's Time Impact Analysis proposals. Perform submittal and schedule reviews. Monitor the progress of construction, review status of work, review that work is generally proceeding in a good and workmanlike manner and in accordance with the approved construction schedule. Review contractors’ direct cost payment requisitions and budget status, review of schedule-related change orders, review of construction schedules. Prepare the schedule update content for Project Status Reports. Review schedule specifications and identify completeness and general compliance with commonly accepted architectural /engineering best practices. Prepare Construction Risk Assessment Reports. Other duties as assigned. No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers.
Job Requirements
Qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent years (6-10+) in construction administration, architecture, engineering or similar. Ability to prepare and analyze complex schedules in Primavera P6. Healthcare and lab experience preferred Past experience with construction and renovation projects including: repairs, replacing VAV boxes, conference room renovations and general construction. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to obtain and maintain an HSPD-12 security clearance (previous HSPD-12 clearance preferred). Must have experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and understand architectural drawings. Knowledge in contracts, and construction practices. Knowledge of construction delivery methods and agreements. Familiarity with construction best practices, general building codes, and various building types and systems.
