SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT / ESTIMATOR

Communicate with existing/prospective customers and subcontractors as assigned

• Interact with subcontractors, customers and/or vendors to maintain up-to-date project schedules, contract documents, etc.
• Preparation of product submittals (e.g., Xactimate)
• Generate paperwork in support of ongoing projects (e.g. Contract documents, Scope Sheet to scale, COC etc.)
• Solicit vendor and/or subcontractor pricing through e-mail and phone calls and/or material pricing as needed for jobs
• Visit job sites to monitor progress, manage changing conditions, evaluate scope, etc. as directed
• Responsible for the preparing and delivery of estimates.
• Maintain all change order, submittals, and documents (drawings). Prepare required logs and other project documentation for construction meetings.
• Providing guidance to crews/ laborers, as needed

ESTIMATING

• Source plans, specs, bidder’s lists
• Utilize the in-house software Xactimate
• Conduct site visits to sell and estimate new mitigation clients.
• Research prospective bidding opportunities via online and off line.

• Research target markets and prospective clients
• Communicate with sub-contractors, clients, and representatives to hunt for new projects.
• Pre-screen bid opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Project Management or other related discipline preferred.
• Computer literacy a must; ability to understand and use Microsoft Office proficiently.
• Solid knowledge of Xactimate Excel.
• Clear understanding of Project Management.
• Must have strong organizational and communication skills.
• Tactful and has professional demeanor, and ability to interact effectively with managers, employees, and vendors.
• Must be capable of managing multiple tasks under time constraints and working effectively as a team player
• Strong attention to detail
