Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Project Manager with a Structural background in the Atlanta GA Area

This a full-time direct hire position

Salary Range $90,000 - $150,000

Overview:

Lead the successful execution of steel fabrication projects from inception to completion. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, design teams, and internal departments, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to organization, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between clients, vendors, engineers, and internal teams.
  • Facilitate clear and concise communication to meet project expectations and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Lead internal and external meetings, including pre-detailing, BIM coordination, pre-erection, and jobsite reviews.
  • Draft and execute subcontracts and purchase orders in alignment with project scope and estimates.
  • Evaluate and negotiate change orders for scope, schedule, and cost adjustments.
  • Collaborate with accounting on timely and accurate pay applications and vendor invoice approvals.
  • Maintain and report monthly Work-In-Process (WIP) updates, including financial projections.
  • Direct document control teams for the processing and distribution of drawings and project documentation.
  • Respond to RFIs and ensure timely distribution of information to maintain progress.
  • Monitor and coordinate delivery schedules, fabrication timelines, and site logistics to meet project milestones.
  • Attend customer meetings and jobsite walkthroughs to assess progress and address concerns.
  • Coordinate with site supervisors, erection teams, and internal production staff to align jobsite activities with project goals.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and facilitate corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage 4–10 active projects simultaneously, requiring flexibility and occasional travel.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and foster strong relationships with stakeholders.

Skills:

Required

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and general office software.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience in the construction or steel fabrication industry (internships, co-ops, or employment).
  • Ongoing education or certification in project management, organizational leadership, or lean practices.
