This position requires 5+ years Project Manager or Project Engineer experience in a self-perform environment and expertise in mass excavation, underground, paving or concrete experience. The ideal Project Manager will be familiar with alternative delivery methods and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results.

Our client is primarily a bridge repair contractor throughout the Southeast. They are extremely busy and have a fantastic compensation package. Mid-week travel will be required.

Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • As a Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for the complete execution of Heavy Highway & Heavy Civil projects both public and private.
  • You will manage a team of Project Manager’s, Project Engineer’s and associated field management as well as subcontractors and the owner/representatives.
  • The Project Manager position’s accountability includes, but is not limited to: Pre-construction, project set-up, cost control, scheduling, full P&L responsibility, risk analysis, safety and complete project oversight.

Background Profile

  • 5+ years’ experience in Heavy Highway & Heavy Civil construction OR Concrete Work
  • BS Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
  • Proven experience in managing projects from cradle to grave
  • Experience in managing self-perform forces in mass excavation, underground utilities, paving and/or structures
  • Exposure to DOT Construction is a plus!
