About the Company:

Our client is a privately owned boutique general contracting company servicing clients for over 25 years. They offer services from general contracting to project management for their clients in both the hospitality and residential sectors.

They are currently seeking to add Project Manager to their dynamic team!

Responsibilities:
Manage and direct all site activities
Submit weekly progress reports
Complete required documentation including keeping accurate project records (i.e. hours worked and materials used)
Supervise and train on-site contractors in proper installation procedures, including types of products, materials, and techniques
Manage jobsite consumables, such as tape, ladders, and plastic sheeting, and keep project sites clean and tidy
Perform inspections of units completed by contractors and subcontractors, comparing installation methods and materials with specifications, and remedy deficiencies
Oversee project closeout, including project documentation and certifications, and review of contractor and subcontractor pay applications
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business administration, or related field
Must have at least 5+ years of proven experience supervising and managing multiple construction projects
Must have prior experience working on multi unit residential buildings
Prior experience working on hotel projects is considered to be a strong asset
Must possess a valid driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle
Knowledge of construction methods and technologies
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and contracts
Knowledge of building code requirements and scheduling in Canada
