If you enjoy working with Automation Systems doing Project Management work, then consider joining this company that has a full-time Project Manager (PM) position available in Dallas, TX. This company is expanding their engineering operations and is looking for a dynamic leader with project management experience managing Industrial Process Automation Projects.

In addition to the Project Manager role, the PM will be a working contributor throughout various stages of the project execution – plant walkdowns, design review, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide project leadership from Phase I FEED studies through completion of Phase 4 execution of project.
  • Participate in project walkdowns with customers, engineering and sales to scope projects.
  • Support sales in the development of proposals.
  • Lead internal project meetings to ensure that projects are on track to meet the project schedule.
  • Coordinate the submittal of project deliverables and track customer approvals.
  • Work with sales to develop and manage change order requests.
  • Work with customer PM and internal resources to resolve technical and commercial issues that arise during the project.
  • Participate in Resource Planning Meetings to ensure that projects are properly staffed to meet project schedules.
  • Lead Project Closeout meetings and document lessons learned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in relevant technical field – B.S.EE or BSME preferred or 2-year Associate’s Degree plus working experience with Industrial Automation Projects.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in a process automation environment.
  • Experience with software tools such as MS Project, Visio, and MS Access.
  • Demonstrated leadership and effective communications skills
  • Must have the ability to prioritize activities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to travel via airplane or car trips to/from customer sites for short visits and/or extended stay visits. Overnight travel is estimated at average of 25%.
