Project Estimator- Electrical
Job Description
Our client, a growing Electrical Contractor located in Durham, NC, has an immediate opening for an experienced Project Estimator Electrical.
Qualifications Include:
- At least 2 years of field electrical experience in either multi-family or commercial construction
- Good computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel and Word
- Previous experience with estimating software would be a plus
- Ability to read plans and documents
- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at one time
- Ability to communicate proficiently and in a timely manner with customers and vendors
Responsibilities include the following:
- All aspects of electrical estimating including composing BOMs, performing takeoffs, inputting takeoff data, submitting RFIs, and writing proposals
- Build the estimate from start to finish ensuring that all aspects of the plans and specs. are covered in our bid
- Assist the senior estimator to Coordinate and streamline the bid process on each individual project
- Assist with contract negotiations and review
- Review estimate with salesman and project managers once contract is awarded
- Assist in creating budgets and schedule of values once project is awarded
