Project Engineer Position- Lakeland, FL


Safety & Environment

  • Enforce safety and environmental policies, perform site inspections, and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Conduct pre-job orientations, manage safety documentation, and assist in site logistics planning.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site.

Risk, Opportunity & Obligation

  • Ensure compliance with contract obligations, labor agreements, and insurance requirements.
  • Obtain necessary permits and manage subcontractor documentation.
  • Identify and address risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.

Project Planning & Execution

  • Assist in job setup, baseline schedule creation, and schedule updates.
  • Coordinate pre-job meetings with subcontractors and monitor project progress.
  • Support efficient construction sequencing and risk assessment.

Document Control & Quality

  • Maintain accurate project records, update logs, and coordinate submittals.
  • Ensure compliance with construction documents and manage deficiencies.
  • Assist with project closeout, punch lists, and daily reporting via Procore.

Cost Control & Subcontract Management

  • Draft subcontracts, track change events, and align subcontractor invoices with owner billings.
  • Support final contract reconciliation and cost management.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with experience in safety, scheduling, and contract administration.
