Project Engineer Position- Lakeland, FL
Safety & Environment
- Enforce safety and environmental policies, perform site inspections, and promote a strong safety culture.
- Conduct pre-job orientations, manage safety documentation, and assist in site logistics planning.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
Risk, Opportunity & Obligation
- Ensure compliance with contract obligations, labor agreements, and insurance requirements.
- Obtain necessary permits and manage subcontractor documentation.
- Identify and address risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.
Project Planning & Execution
- Assist in job setup, baseline schedule creation, and schedule updates.
- Coordinate pre-job meetings with subcontractors and monitor project progress.
- Support efficient construction sequencing and risk assessment.
Document Control & Quality
- Maintain accurate project records, update logs, and coordinate submittals.
- Ensure compliance with construction documents and manage deficiencies.
- Assist with project closeout, punch lists, and daily reporting via Procore.
Cost Control & Subcontract Management
- Draft subcontracts, track change events, and align subcontractor invoices with owner billings.
- Support final contract reconciliation and cost management.
Qualifications
- Degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred).
- Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with experience in safety, scheduling, and contract administration.
