Project Engineer

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will manage end-to-end project cycles in a manufacturing setting, focusing on improving processes, increasing efficiency, and driving innovation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in engineering disciplines, coupled with exceptional project management skills and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. You will be responsible for evaluating equipment, optimizing processes, and overseeing both new installations and continuous improvement projects. This is a pivotal role that involves strategic planning, detailed execution, and cross-functional collaboration to drive our engineering efforts forward.

Salary: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define and justify new equipment or controls for process improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare and manage the Annual Capital Expenditures Budget, including budget requests, schedules, benefits, and ROI analysis.
  • Oversee the installation of new equipment and manage plant expansion projects to minimize disruption.
  • Lead process improvement projects including coordination with manufacturing, maintenance, and external contractors.
  • Develop and maintain an up-to-date library of equipment manuals and drawings.
  • Specialize in rubber mold design and maintain a comprehensive library of all mold drawings.
  • Ensure all equipment operations comply with OSHA, EPA, and NFPA guidelines.
  • Provide ongoing engineering support to manufacturing, maintenance, and technical teams.
  • Play a key role in continuous improvement projects and support maintenance in troubleshooting equipment and process issues.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering,Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven expertise in project management and process design, with a track record of leading projects from concept to completion.
  • Excellent communication skills including reading, listening, and writing abilities.
  • Must be proficient in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with JD Edwards Enterprise One software.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with equipment and tools.
  • Experience in overseeing new equipment installations and plant expansions.
  • Proficient in developing and maintaining equipment and mold libraries.
  • Experience in preparing and managing budgets for capital expenditures.
