Project Engineer
Our client, a global leader in the manufacturing industry, seeks an experienced Project Engineer in Virginia who is responsible for managing and overseeing various facilities and construction projects from conception to completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to safety standards, collaborating with internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritize safety and compliance across all project phases.
- Oversee project planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Develop and maintain schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Conduct site visits, address issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage documentation: contracts, RFIs, change orders, and punch lists.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in facilities and construction project management.
- Proficiency in project management software (Procore, PlanGrid, MS Office).
- Knowledge of ASME, ANSI, NFPA, ISO, IEC, OSHA standards.
- Preferred certifications: PMP, LEED AP, CCM.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
