Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Project Director with a proven track record in leading complex Healthcare Construction projects from preconstruction through to successful delivery. This executive-level role is responsible for strategic oversight of all phases of the project lifecycle, including preconstruction planning, client engagement, risk management, and execution excellence. The Project Director plays a key leadership role in driving collaboration across internal teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure project goals are met with the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of large-scale Healthcare construction projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives, regulatory standards, and company goals.
• Provide executive leadership across preconstruction, estimating, operations, and delivery teams to ensure a seamless transition from concept to completion.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with healthcare clients, consultants, trade partners, and vendors to position the organization as a trusted builder of choice in the sector.
• Oversee the development of project budgets, schedules, and risk management strategies, ensuring proactive issue resolution and high-margin project outcomes.
• Champion a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and mentorship within cross-functional project teams.
• Monitor market trends and regulatory changes in the healthcare sector to inform strategic decision-making and maintain competitive advantage.
  
  

Qualifications & Competencies

• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in ICI construction with a strong focus on healthcare projects.
• Demonstrated success in leading multidisciplinary teams on multi-million-dollar institutional construction projects.
• Expert knowledge of healthcare construction standards, infection prevention protocols, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills at both the executive and project levels.
• Proven ability to manage complex schedules, budgets, and project risks.
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  
  

Education & Technical Skills

• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in preconstruction and estimating for ICI projects, particularly within the healthcare sector.
• Proficiency in construction management software, including MS Project and MS Office Suite.
