Project Coordinator – Ottawa, ON

Salary: $55,000–$80,000 per year

Location: Ottawa, ON (on-site, with travel to project sites)

Job Overview
Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Coordinator to join their dynamic construction team. The ideal candidate will support the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects while ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. This role involves coordinating project schedules, liaising with subcontractors and internal teams, tracking project progress, and maintaining documentation to ensure smooth operations across all sites.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Coordinate project schedules, resources, and tasks to ensure timely completion of construction projects.

  • Act as the central point of contact for internal teams, subcontractors, and clients regarding project updates and requirements.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of project plans, procedures, and documentation to support effective project execution.

  • Track project progress, including budgets, timelines, and resource allocation, and prepare regular status reports for management.

  • Organize meetings, site visits, and project inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with company standards.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, drawings, and correspondence.

  • Support the management of project risks and assist with problem resolution to keep projects on track.

  • Facilitate communication between project stakeholders to ensure clarity of project goals and expectations.

  • Assist project managers with procurement, ordering materials, and coordinating deliveries as required.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in project coordination within the construction industry.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with teams, subcontractors, and clients.

  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to travel to project sites on a regular basis.

  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
