OBJECTIVE:

Support the project management process that meets customer expectations while having CEC’s best interests in mind, proactively driving assigned project tasks, and providing internal support for assigned Project Managers.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Project Notification:
    • Assists with contacting customer within 48 hours of project Award.
    • Ensures all required project information has been provided to Operations from Sales and Engineering.
    • Assigns project related tasks by Project Manager direction within ConnectWise in relation to project timelines.
  • Project Planning:
    • Works with Operations Manager and Project Manager to develop task list and/or timeline for the project along with supporting identification and allocation of field-staff resources.
    • Initiates process for procuring project job-stock and assists in monitoring delivery-status of parts and equipment; also assists in coordinating subcontractor support.
    • Coordinates travel arrangements for Operations staff as well as lift rentals.
    • Communicates site access, PPE requirements and equipment with Project Manager.
    • Ownership of overall territory personnel schedule. Working with Project Managers and Operations Managers to ensure project and service work is prioritized.
    • Coordinates with Project Manager group on scheduling of key project meetings including internal kick-off meetings, customer kick-off meetings, and post-project reviews.
    • Processes and fulfills equipment-only orders.
  • Executing Project Plan:
    • Communicate changes in the SOW and seek Change Order possibilities. Adapt project plan as needed.
    • Establishes specific project elements in ConnectWise including estimated start/end dates, invoice/billing schedules, and other items, as needed.
    • Coordinates customer training, and schedules documentation completion per Project Management direction.
    • Coordinates preparation of project deliverables including as-builts, certificates of demonstration, and training materials.
  • Closing the Project: Assist Project Manager with submittal of documentation, obtain customer sign off and verify completion for project fulfillment on all assigned projects.
  • Post Project Meetings: Provide input on project management processes, procedures, tools, and best practice improvement. Give recommendations to Sales and Engineering on improvement areas and project successes.
  • Service: Work with Service Department on scheduling Operations personnel on service tickets.
  • Other Duties as Assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two year college degree from an accredited college or university, or substitute 2 years pertinent experience for each year of education, plus two years’ experience with CEC and three years’ experience working in the communications industry.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • PC proficiency is essential (Windows environment) and strong working knowledge of Excel.
