CBIZ Talent & Compensation Solutions is supporting our construction client in western Suffolk County in their search for a Project Controller. The ideal person will understand and manage the Construction Project Accounting process from start to finish. The position will be 100% onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all project transactions are recorded accurately and according to budgets.
• Manage construction project billing process using Acumatica, QuickBooks, Textura, and Procore.
• Audit project performance through reconciliations and weekly AR reporting.
• Develop on-going payment forecast for all open invoices on the AR aging and coordinate with management as required for cash flow projections.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end financials, including but not limited to, expense accruals, COGS audit, and WIP preparation.
• Keep up to date with ongoing project contract value and change order statuses and follow up with internal Project Managers.
• Obtain and ensure updated Insurance Certificates and required contractual documentation is up to date on all active projects.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Construction Finance or Accounting role.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance related field strongly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
• Prior experience in QuickBooks, Textura and Procore.
• Prior experience in Acumatica strongly preferred.

Target salary range: $115,000 to $140,000/year, dependent on experience.
