Carolina PRG has partnered with a growing construction-related organization in the greater Charlotte area to identify a Construction Project Accountant. This role will work closely with leadership and operations to support project coordination, contract tracking, and overall business organization in a fast-paced environment.

Construction Accounting & Operations Support

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support contract administration by tracking subcontractor agreements, certificates, licenses, and compliance-related documentation
  • Assist with project tracking and coordination, working closely with operations and project teams to ensure accurate and organized information
  • Provide support with monthly financial reporting, including reconciliations and maintaining data accuracy across projects
  • Act as a point of coordination between internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate documentation
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives, including organizing and maintaining internal systems and file structures (including SharePoint)
  • Support day-to-day accounting and operational needs as a flexible, cross-functional team member

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, construction support, or a related operational role
  • Experience working in a construction, project-based, or service-oriented environment preferred
  • Familiarity with contract documentation, compliance tracking, or working with vendors/subcontractors
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, including reconciliations and financial reporting support
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and keep projects on track
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with operations, vendors, and internal teams
  • Experience with ERP systems, Excel, and document management systems (SharePoint or similar)
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset and willingness to take on a variety of responsibilities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
