Project Accountant
Job Description
The Project Accountant will provide financial and administrative assistance to Project Managers. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial information on the project's status and provide information to Project Managers & management to help monitor project's status and provide information to Project Managers & Management to help monitor project status.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Co-ordinate with PM, Finance and Contract department to ensure all financial instruments are up-to-date and reflect project requirements
Update accounting system for modifications and maintain the integrity and quality of the job cost reports
Monthly invoicing
Reconcile job cost to general ledger
Ensure all job cost transactions are properly recorded
Investigate and analyze variances and processes
Project cost forecasting
Montly accounting as part of an administrative team
Special projects as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
Experience with Microsoft Officeand automated job cost accounting system required
Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting is preferred
Experience with Time & Material, Firm Fixed Price and Cost Plus contracts desired
