Our client in the Banking and Finance Sector is seeking to hire a Programmer/Analyst for their Couva office.

Job Purpose:

The Programmer/Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that fulfill stakeholders' information requirements. Work involves performing data analysis, aiding in the design and evaluation of software applications, and offering programming support for both development and ongoing maintenance activities. Additionally, the Programmer/Analyst is responsible for training users on the relevant systems and applications.

Duties:

  • Supports the development and implementation of software applications, particularly in the analysis and development process and the monitoring of projects.
  • Investigates operational requirements and problems, identifies opportunities for improvements in functions and processes, and assists users in defining acceptance tests.
  • Obtains requirements from key stakeholders, confirms alignment with defined business objectives, and documents and prioritizes these requirements in accordance with defined standards and practices.
  • Reviews requirements and specifications, develops software tests including test cases and test scripts, and assists with the execution of complete testing of new or modified information systems.
  • Supervises and trains support staff as needed to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of all software applications.
  • To integrate AI utilization at various levels in the organization, through the use of training and coaching techniques.
  • Adherence to the client's policies and procedures
  • Prepare monthly reports for Management.
  • Collaborate with other team members to share knowledge and participates in supporting all applications and technologies supported by the ICT Any other function deemed necessary based on the objectives of the client.
  • Any other duties or special projects based on the objectives of the Society.

Education and Experience:

  • BSc. in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems Management or Computer Engineering or a related area from a recognized university.
  • Professional Certification in ICT field would be asset preferably MS SQL DBA
  • Three (3) Years working experience in analysis, design, development and maintenance of software applications or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
